MDI Medical Service and Support

Our commitment to quality.

MDI Medical is compliant with ISO 13485:2012 Medical Devices since 2008.  This is the same standard that a medical device manufacturer must attain in order to be allowed CE mark registration for a product. 

Help desk

Our Help desk is open from 8am to 5pm, Monday to Friday and we provide telephone support during these hours.  We provide country-wide field cover and our team of experienced engineers is manufacturer-trained to a high standard.

Service Centres

With service centres in Kells, Belfast and Cork, our team is able to respond quickly to any situation country-wide. Most of the products we sell are serviced in-house and our team of experienced engineers is certified and manufacturer trained. 
We blend technical engineering excellence and experience with a customer-focused approach to ensure maximum up-time for your system or equipment. We always aim to repair your equipment as quickly and economically as possible, helping you to bring it back in service without any unnecessary delays.
As well as on-site repairs, we also offer in-house repairs in our Kells or Belfast workshops and have large range of spare parts in stock across our Kells, Belfast and Cork stores.  We can supply calibration certificates on request.

Preventative Maintenance

Planned preventative maintenance is the foundation for any effective maintenance strategy for your equipment.   As part of our on-going commitment to support our customers, MDI can offer you a tailor-made planned Preventative Maintenance contract. 
Planned preventative maintenance not only protects your investment by aiming to improve the equipment’s lifetime, it could also drastically reduce errors in day-to-day operation, reduce down-time and costs due to unplanned maintenance.


MDI Medical offer two main types of maintenance contract which can be tailored to your specific needs:

Basic Planned Preventative Maintenance Contract 

includes:
  • Routine service visits per annum (in line with manufacturers’ recommendations) which includes any mandatory available software upgrades from the manufacturer.  Visits are organised at a time that suits you.
  • Telephone Support within our normal business hours.

Comprehensive Planned Preventative Maintenance Contract 

encompasses all the elements of the Basic Maintenance contract above along with the following additions:
  • Repair call-outs with a next-day response (for calls received before noon)
  • Spare parts and labour are covered

We recommend that all customers consider taking out a planned preventative maintenance contract on all equipment.  Our trained Service team can schedule planned visits at your convenience. 
Planned preventative maintenance puts you in control of your equipment’s up-time.
