MDI rewards excellence in the Health Sciences field

Welch Allyn & MDI have been supporting Irish Medical Schools and students for over forty years, not only by regular college presentations on the use of "Diagnostic Sets" in effective physical diagnosis and in the very special price concession to students but also by rewarding excellence in the health sciences field. MDI traditionally sponsors the first prize for the top students of Professor Lorraine Cassidy in the Royal Victoria Eye & Ear Hospital donating a Welch Allyn PanOptic Lithium Ion Ophthalmoscope Set - containing the revolutionary PanOptic ophthalmoscope with Cobalt Blue Filter and Corneal Viewing Lens and the Lithium Ion rechargable handle.

This year, however, there were even two 1st prize winners, as two students, namely Ciara Maguire and Terence Farrell, were both entitled to the first prize, having each received the exact same marks.

MDI congratulates Ms Maquire and Mr Farrel and wishes them all the best for their future career in the field of ophthalmology and are happy to be able to present a state-of-the-art ophthalmoscope to both of them.
